Mergers and Acquisitions

Mergers and acquisitions are rare, but they do occur. For example, UIC acquired the John Marshall Law School in 2019 and renamed it the UIC School of Law. When mergers or acquisitions occur, the University Ethics and Compliance Office will coordinate with any compliance staff in the acquired entity and otherwise address compliance based on risk.
