Responsible Employee Resources
Within the University of Illinois System, ALL employees, unless specifically exempted, are considered “Responsible Employees.” This means you, as a Responsible Employee, must immediately report any allegations or disclosures of sexual misconduct you become aware of to your university’s Title IX Coordinator.
All university employees are considered Responsible Employees except:
- Professional or pastoral counselors who provide university-related mental-health counseling
- Campus advocates and/or specially trained advisors designated to provide confidential victim assistance, and
- Employees who are otherwise prohibited by law from disclosing information received in the course of providing professional care and treatment
Please feel free to visit your respective university Title IX website for additional details and information. To assist you in the event of a report of sexual misconduct, please review and print the handy Responsible Employee Resource Page, which lists key information related to this process. We encourage you to bookmark this page for future reference.
